Quick Overview

Dynam RC Hellcat F4F - PNP

Dynam Hellcat F6F 1270mm

The F6F, also known as the Hellcat, is an American icon of the USN during WWII. Made from crash resistant EPO foam, the F4F hellcat is a must for the war bird enthusiast.

The Dynam RC hellcat has superb maneuverability even at low speeds and altitude, this is due to another great design from Dynam RC. This design also enables large loops, knife edges, and inverted flights.

Like all the planes from Dynam RC, the Dynam F4F Hellcat comes with a pre-painted finish from the factory with high standard and represents an excellent replica of the real aircraft. What is a scale plane without retracts, Dynam has a new designed retract system in which the retracts rotate and tuck into the body.

The Dynam Hellcat F4F is flap ready. The wings have the cutouts for the servos and hinges. You will need to supply the servos and servo reverser (if your radio does not have this feature)

All servos, ESCs and motors are factory installed from the Factory. The Detrum brushless motor provides plenty of power for sporty scale flying.

Build time is around 45- 60 min from box to air. Expect flight time to be from 8-15 minutes, but all depends how fast you fly.

  • Retractable landing gear allow for smooth takeoffs and landings and scale flying

Great Dynam Plane, super fast shipping Review by Tracy
Great Plane, looks great.. Build was quick and straight forward. I do not like the screw method for the tail feathers, so I glued, just a personal preference. I did have some issues with ESC / Motor, sent an email and Basil suggested I program ESC. That was the trick. WIthin 10 mins of my initial email, I was ready for the field, Great Service !! .

Great Looking Airplane Review by Rob
Great airplane, went together very smooth, I pick up a package of extra screws and I am glad I did. I used the larger scews where ever possible. Retracts work great. I did have to program the ESC, took about 3 minutes to program.

I used FoamTac and Hot glue to reglue all the of parts. I do not trust anyone for assembly for anything that takes to the air. I read alot about people complaining and it appears people are just lazy to properly care for and maintain aircraft. If something comes loose in flight, you cant just stop.

Take the 5 minutes to prefight your airplanes, especially if someone or some company assembled.

Anyway, nothing was difficult, straight forward build. (Posted on 1/23/2016)
Really nice plane. Almost 5 stars. Review by Tim D
Beautiful looks. Flies really well. A bit nose heavy on landing. If only they had the landing gear to match. As reviewed by others the gear is very weak, bends easily and often has a mind of it's own on if it will work or not. I have two and if I find a gear fix will buy another but only if they can keep up the supply of cowls. Please restock as it looks like many of us have nose heavy landings.

puzzled Review by William J Timpano
The box that the airplane came in said there was a transmitter and receiver included. There were none. I really did not need them but why did the box say included but not In there. Did I miss something when ordering??
Other than that I am pleased with the plane. Haven't flown it yet so I can not comment on that. Weather has been very cold. I worked on the Bearcat when in the service so this is a reminder of my Navy Air time. Very similar plane.

Sorry for the box confusion, but Grayson Hobby only offers the Plug and Play version, Dynam has only made one box which shows all of the items. (Posted on 12/16/2015)
Favorite Plane Review by PZero
I own 5 airplanes from various manufactures, this is my favorite. Flys great, looks, great. What else can you get at this price. I love Grayson's flat rate shipping, fair and we all know 'nothing is not free'

Retracts work great on my field with a paved runway. I keep striking the prop on the ground, but thats pilot error. I suggest getting the Dynam Program card since my required some programming.

Great Flying Plane! Review by Tyler Brown
Got this plane and had it assembled in about an hour. Not to difficult to get together, having dine a few dynam kits now this is one of my favorites. I did have issues with the retracts out of the box. Right one would make noise but not go up or down, they sent a new one and i installed it then went to the field and went to test the gear and the other side stopped working. It wound only work once every 20 or 30 tries. They sent me a replacement fur that side as well no charge. Now they are working normally I also added about 4 ounces of weight to the nose to get the cg correct even with the 3000 mah it was still tail heavy! Finally got to maiden it today. Did two flights, both went great she is very stable in the air and very detailed! I deffinetly recommend this warbird to any enthusiast! (Posted on 10/1/2015)
Very good flyer and stable Review by Flyer Don
The only problem is the landing gear bend easily on a grass field. I'll probably change to a fixed system with heavier wire. (Posted on 9/22/2015)
Review by Michael Schiavoni
Great Airplane. I am flying mine fully stock. I have had best results using a 3300 glacier battery flying in the wind and a wild scorpion 2600 all the way forward on calm days. Also I found programming the esc for soft start and low timing eleminated motor chatter on start up. Retracts work flawlessly. (Posted on 3/17/2014)
