Great kit and packaing was outstanding. Nothing could break this box. Took 2 days to arrive to my house in Florida. (Posted on 4/11/2016)
- Good flying plane and a great value for the money. #2 Review by John
A few things I noted. The covering takes quite a bit of heat to shrink with my Monokote iron set to 2 ½ and having to linger over the area to get the wrinkles out. Where the graphics bend over the control surfaces to the hinge line they tended to come loose and raise up. Cutting them at the bend point solved this though I used CA on the edges of several of them which seemed to work OK as well. Some of the ball links had a little slop in them so I will replace them before the flying season starts. I did not like having to glue the leading edge of horizontal stab in place thus trapping the servos so I made a short spar at the leading edge and used a screw on each side to hold the LE tight. You can build this plane right from the box and have good airplane. Most of the changes I made were a matter of personal preference.
I started flying again after 36 years two summers ago so everything is new for me from then and there is much to learn from every project. The Smoove was enjoyable to build, a good flying plane, an excellent value for the money and recommended. - Good flying plane and a great value for the money. Review by John
I checked the power system and had 65a (1400w) at about ¾ throttle and over 80a at full throttle which is well over the limit for the motor. I'm using a Turnigy 6S, 5000ma, 40c battery so a 25c battery should be fine with this setup.
Today we had an unusual day for Central NY with a high of 45f, sunshine and 5-10mph wind so I decided to do the maiden flight. I had the CG at 190mm from the leading edge for the this flight. Takeoff required little rudder and climb out was smooth with about ½ throttle. The plane was decidedly nose heavy and I never used more than ¾ throttle. For the second flight the battery was moved aft and CG was much better but still a little nose heavy. Third flight CG was just about right with the battery a little further aft and it flew beautiful basic aerobatics. This is a fine flying airplane and everyone at the field noted how smooth (Smoove) it was. I'm looking forward to dialing it in and getting more familiar with the plane.

- Great Plane - Better Price Review by Mark
Could not be happier with the airplane. Just be sure to use the JR servos for the elevator as not many fit the holes.
