Looks Great Review by John Kunkel

I'm just finishing the build on the T-28 so haven't had a chance to fly it yet. But as I received the review request today I thought I would respond on how it's going so far.

This isn't my first Dynam model so I expected the plane to look good and it definitely does. However, putting this thing together has been more challenging than the other Dynams that I have built in the past.

While the plane looks great, I have been a bit frustrated by the lack of assembly instructions. The only instructions you receive are a set of very small photos with little or no explanation ... especially when it comes to the screws. There is more hardware in the kit than called for in the photos and it is somewhat difficult to figure out which screw for example they are referring too. I would suggest measuring all of the screws with a mm ruler and sorting them before you begin. And even then, use your better judgement during the assembly when it comes to selecting the right screw size.

The kit also includes two glue packs ... one epoxy and the other CA with no explanation as to where they are to be used ... if at all. This has me wondering as the entire model - per the photos - is held together by 6 small screws. With the inclusion of the glue it leaves you a bit worried that maybe something should have been glued together ... like the tail feathers or wing???

There is also a location in the wing for the placement of a screw which is never addressed in the limited photos. It appears to me that this screw is critical as it is intended to hold the two wing halves together ... yet it isn't mentioned.

For my build, I looked at the limited small photos and used them as a guide as I put the thing together the way I thought it should go. I didn't limited the build to the instructions, but did what I thought should be done to keep this thing together.

If you are relatively new to the hobby or to building planes, the lack of detail in these instructions is going to be a problem for you. However, if you have a few builds under your belt and move slowly with this one you'll eventually figure it out.

The only thing still remaining to be done on my plane is the addition of the decals ... and surprisingly they give you great detail on this aspect of the build. I should easily have it done in time to fly it this weekend.

I'll get back to you if there is anything noteworthy in the flight characteristics.

It has no bad habbits for staling great retracts it also flys like a 4 channel trainer. Very durable foam i crashed in crosswind landings and all that borke was the prop great plane and so pretty in the air well worth the low price. But if your reading this please reinforce your rudder and stay away from knife edge (Posted on 4/11/2017)
Somewhat dissatisfied. Review by melvin miller

Got the Trojan two days ago. First thing I noticed was a ding in the fuse. Poor design for all the leads from the servos. Some of the leads are very short requiring extensions which must be tied together to insure they do not come apart. I may have a faulty ail. servo or one of the connections failed...still checking. Retracts work great and seem fairly robust. The housing tube for the elev. had glue in it and had to be removed and cleared out.
Obviously poor quality control...I am sure it was not tested prior to packaging. Nice pilot figures. Puts out about 180 W with a 3S 2200mAh batt. The last item will most likely be a problem: the screws that hold the wings to the fuse. Very small in dis. (2.3mm). I have a feeling they will eventually fail due to their size. This is a plane one would want to assemble and leave it as is. Of course, if you have a smaller vehicle this would be a problem. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can get in the maiden.
