I installed this in a BME Hydro (hydrofoam type aircraft) with great success. Swings an 8x4 easily. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the 1A BEC (recommended up to 3 servos on 3s lipo) on the ESC. The BME Hydro uses 2 elevon and 2 rudder so i used a BEC because I didnt want to risk it. I am using this combo motor/esc to replace the 370 brushed motor/esc combo in my TW748 Corsair. Using a 11.1V LiPo, I know have the power that this plane needed. I really appreciated the information that was provided by Grayson on their website to properly size the motor/esc for this application. Along with the recommended prop size (8x4), it took the guess work out of the equation. (Posted on 7/20/2009)

I bought a 2212-13 motor ESC combo over a year ago, used it in a blue foam wildcat with great results. I crashed the plane at least 4 times nose first with no damage to the motor. Now I am using it in a Lancair EP, plenty of power. Just ordered another one. (Posted on 5/20/2009)

I am suing this motor/speed controller in my 1lb Fundango. I removed a 740kg park 400. Way too slow. This motor with a 9x7 prop is what I was looking for. I can now fly at ½ throttle with plenty of power to spare for vertical climbs.
The ESC was so easy to use, just plug in and ready. Great combo! (Posted on 11/4/2008)

Bought this Combo for my Herr Engineering 1/2A Cub, It has more than enough power to make my Cub jump off the ground in High grass and go airborne before I was ready!!! Swings a 8x4 prop with authority and has power to spare. Also using a Grayson Hobby 3 cell, 11.1 volt, 1500Mah Li-poly Battery. With this combo you cannot go wrong!!! (Posted on 4/15/2008)
