Please note, it is 100% personal preference in which shaft you use. You can always put on a 3.17mm prop saver on the threaded shaft. At GraysonHobby, we have several airplanes with both styles of shafts. The threaded shaft is a bit longer however, which can fit thru some nose cowls better
