The Dynam Gee Bee is a great replica of the original GeeBee. Like all Dynam airplanes, this is made with damage-resistant EPO foam. The red and white color scheme is very easy to see in the sky. Like all Plug and Play airplanes, the motor, servos, speed controller are factory tested and installed.

For a foam likeness of the GeeBee Y super sportster it performs rather well. The linkages were a bit sloppy and the installed servos were rather cheap. However overall for the price not a bad. Instructions are limited and not too complete. The kit I received did not have the correct rear wing supports and I did have to make my own from a piece of aluminum tubing to complete the plane. I was able to assemble this plane in just over an hour. I believe in building a plane to the manufacture's specifications at first, and then modifying to suit my needs. I don't think this plane needs any modifications at all. In fact, I did not even have to add one click of trim on the maiden flight, it flew that good. One piece of advice, I see a lot of reviews that people complain of "cheap" screws. You must use the correct fitting screwdriver, and the screw must be in line with the screwdriver. Good quality, easy assembly, flies well. Its squirrelly on landing due to the narrow gear but would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice classic racer. (Posted on 6/24/2018)Rating
