- tail heavy 2 people found this helpfulMy experience over the years of crashing to much is take this great plane and do not put the servos in the tail use carbon rods and install as far forward as you can. I also used 2.5 gram servos, keep it as light as possible old GWS biplanes flew great. Also I cut off the tail wheel and used a skid further forward helping tail issues that only make people have to load the front heavier not good. Happy flying.
- Great plane, great price 2 people found this helpfulThis is a great airplane. My 12-year-old son bought this, and this is what he said about it: "As my first ARF, it was fun and relatively easy to build. A few of the servo holes were a bit too tight, but it was nothing a little sanding couldn't fix. My only complaint is that the paint on the nose cap is very thin and since the holes are not pre-drilled when you put the screws in, some of the paint flakes off. *As a note, the pictures show that the plane is supposed to have a transparent bottom. Mine did not, and I'm not sure if it was a mistake or if it actually doesn't have a clear bottom. Even so, it is still a great plane."
- Ok plane, but not really for beginners 2 people found this helpfulOk here goes, having over 50 years of plane experience I felt I should do a thorough review on the assembly of this plane. 1. Plane I received was not as described, my had solid yellow covering on whole plane. (I like that better anyway). 2. Many glue joints were weak, especially around battery box area and motor area. 3. My ailerons we're not hinged centered with the trailing edge of wing, but that is easy fix. 4. Instructions are weak, (reason for saying not for beginners). 5. I would recommend not gluing on tail section until lower wing is in place. The reason is makes it much easier to make sure tail is aligned and straight. 6. In the instructions the C.G . Given is the same for the top wing and is also shown as same for bottom wing, this can not be correct. I believe the C.G. given is for top wing and should be correct by my figures. 7.Have not flown plane as weather is bad here. I think with some care it will be a good little plane. I don't see a way to post photos but I have many
- Not ready for flight 0 people found this helpfulAfter putting 6 oz of weight in this little plane, and after using a 2200ma battery just to achieve center of gravity. This thing didn't have enough power to fly! The plane is constructed very well it stalled into the pavement because of a lack of power which only damaged the cowl. The plane is not ready to fly out of the box. If you buy this one expect to make modifications. Like moving the servos from the tail to where they belong. You know the center of gravity or as close as you can get. It might need a more powerful motor as well I'll see once I get the servos moved and I get all that excessive weight out of the plane.
