Great Power - High Quality Review by JimmyS
Put this in a Flite Test scratch build, and this has LOTS of power. I love it. Im using a 8 x4 prop and my airplane is zipping around the sky.
Thanks Grayson Hobby (Posted on 8/9/2016)

Correction to my review below.. I'm using a 8x4 propeller.. Not 8x6. (Posted on 7/6/2014)

I now own 3 of these wonderful motors. All are flying Flight Test Blunt Nose Versa Wings on 3 cells and APC 8x6 props. A perfect combination in my opinion. Super powerful. (Posted on 7/6/2014)

I know I've already commented on this motor a couple of times, so bear with me. Two days ago I had a mishap, and this motor ended up buried deep in mud and submerged in about 8 inches of muddy water for almost 10 minutes before I could get it out. I let it dry out for a couple of days. This morning I chipped off the caked on mud and spun the prop a few times to loosen things up inside. I hooked it up to a power source, and I could not believe it. This thing STILL RUNS!! I posted a vid on Youtube ( for my scratch building friends to see. This motor just won't freaking quit!!! Awsome motor, great power, I purchased this set up to replace the motor in my Dynam 182 Sky Trainer, The fit is perfect !!! Just drilled out the center hole in the the stock 9x6x3 blade prop and away I go. The plane handles great, Long flight times due to never getting over half throttle when slow flying, But when I opener up watch out, this motor REALLY RIPS !!!, Much faster than the stock Dynam motor. I am very happy with this product, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. No more easley broken prop shafts for me, Thank u Grayson Hobby !!!! (Posted on 3/8/2013)

As an update, I flew this motor in my 52in wingspan scratchbuilt plane running on 3S 2200mAh lipo and turning a 10 x 5 APC prop. It performed flawlessly , as usual, and barely got warm after 8 minutes of hard flying with loops, slides, rolls, and high speed passes. I cannpt say enough about this awesome motor except that if you buy another motor, you've wasted your money!! (Posted on 2/6/2013)

This is one of the toughest motors EVER. I've had this motor for almost 2 years. It has been in several of my scratch build planes ranging from 36in to 50in wing spans. I have demolished several airplanes in mishaps, and this motor took the beating every time without fail. It is plenty powerful for vertical acceleration, stunt flying, and plowing in to the windy on a rough flying day. I have pounded it straight in to the ground, even on concrete pavement, and the shaft is STILL picture perfect, and the motor STILL performs flawlessly. I've had other motors, but never one that could perform like this one and take the kind of punishment that a horrible pilot like my self can dish out!! I highly recommend this motor!! This is a great motor with tons of power. I have one in my Lanier Fokker D7 with a 10x4.7 prop using a 11.1v 3s 2000 mah battery and it climbs almost vertically on less than 1/2 throttle! We also have one on a power pod on a 72" Gentle lady glider. Needless to say that thing is nearly bumping up against commercial air traffic in just seconds. It's a great item and I highly recommend it. (Posted on 6/12/2008)

Being limited on prop size I decided this was the right motor for an Aerobird Xtreme that I was putting together from a spare parts plane I had bought.. It's plenty of power from an 8X4 APC. I had never flown this plane or anything this big before. On it's maiden flight. it went almost straight up and did a loop before I got it under control. Great motor! Great price! BUY ONE!
