- good quick but some reliability and instruction questions 5 people found this helpfulThis model went together very easily with hot melt glue. See Buddy RC for a good video on this model. Note the ESC comes with an Xt60 connector and the batteries I ordered are JST. My ESC fried on the bench during initial powerup and checkout and I replaced it. The prop is not as advertised and is a 3.8x3. Controller has two modes. One mode limits the ESC to 70% power output. AUW was 140gms. Static thrust measured on the bench was close to 280gms. It looks like this model will really come alive with a 3S battery. A future test. The recommendation of the R81 receiver was a good one, although the wires are tough to solder on this one due to its tiny size. 2 flights so far. Flies well but it is a bit limited in the vertical. Rolls and loops are good. Great for a small park. Not for a new to the hobby customer IMO. My ranking would be 7/10.
- Don't waste your money. 0 people found this helpfulI wouldn't waste my money on this bird, wish I could send it back but didn't know I would have so many problems until after it was built and flying. For starters, the motor mount is holes are drilled wrong. The motor that comes with it is not the on that's pictured but its GROSSLY underpowered, it will barely climb. The speed controller is junk and wouldn't put out full power, sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. You can't use the flight controller with spektrum receivers and you'll have to search the web for the manual for it, which is borderline useless anyway. Once I got it flying, it flew like crap, which is why it was probably bundled with a flight controller. It seriously needs more power. The only plus, pretty easy to build even with the terrible manual and so far the servos seem ok.
